Dedication.....

to the victims of terrorism

We all pray for the day when the world will be at peace,

When all religions and all races will unite,

and the world will be a peaceful place.

We pray for the eradication of terrorists and extremists,

and pray for the souls of all the innocent victims who have left us.

We remember the families and friends of the victims...

and pray that they will find strength and courage to live on,

however hard it might be for them.

FOOTSTEPS

One night a man had a dream.

He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life...

For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,

one belonging to him, and the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,

He looked back at the footprints in the sand.

He noticed that many times along the path of his life...

there was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it.

"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way.

But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life,

there is only one set of footprints".

"I don't understand why when I needed you most, you would leave me".

The Lord replied:

"My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you.

During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints -

.....It was then that I carried you".

It doesn't matter where we live in this big wide world,

we have all been effected by the events of the last year.

Whether you are in Texas or Denver, London or Paris, Queensland or Bali.

It has effected us all, particularly the victims of Sept 11 and Bali.

We live in a different world today,

We are bringing up our children in this new world,

and its a shock, horror situation for all of us.

I am not a religious fanatic, I don't go to church but I do believe in God.

Your God might be Catholic, Protestant, Buddhist or Mormon,

Your God might be simply the universe, the fairies or sun..

It doesn't matter... Religion is personal, its your choice...

After the events of the last year, I have prayed more..

I pray that peace will return and we wont have to ever experience a year like the last one.

May Peace and Happiness be with you all.

I express my deepest sympathy to the victims and families of the last year,

Perhaps I have never met you but I have been there with you.

May God Bless you and keep you safe :)

Ever Close In Mind and Heart

No further away than a picture,

A smile or remembered phrase,

Our loved ones live in memory -

So close in so many ways.

~ For how often does a sunset

Bring nostalgic thoughts to mind,

Of moments that our loved ones shared,

In days now left behind. ~

How often has a flower

Or a crystal autumn sky

Brought golden recollections

Of happy days gone by.

Yes, memory has a magic way

Of keeping loved ones near -

Ever close in mind and heart,

Are the ones we hold most dear.
